Meet Tom Wess-
While his mum listened to Enya, his dad to the Rolling Stones, blues and boogie woogie, a 7 year old Thomas could be found with a 8 track tape recorder making hip hop tracks with his Casio keyboard and trumpet. While learning to read music, he always had to simplify the ideas he had to the equipment available at that moment, unlike now, where we have so many possibilities. And yes… this old school way is still his favorite these days. He started playing trumpet in various bands until he met a Rasta Man who showed a different world of music and brought him into his band. For just a few beers he performed with reggae and punk bands all over the country until he realized that 99% of the music played in the world is unrecorded. This opened a magical world for him. He wanted to explore music from all over the world. His curiosity wanted to know more about music than what could be found in books during his studies. He traveled around the world, spent some more time in Africa and was inspired by how naturally they enjoy music; it's not about what you know but it's the culture.
Thomas is our true professional in music, educated but using the world as his inspiration and music as a magical connection.
